Cambridge - Sep 2017 - Dairy Barn Addition

This 140’ x 265’ addition more than doubles the size of the previous tie-stall barn. 
With three DeLaval robots, this dairy barn addition is connected to the original barn with a connecting link. High and bright ceilings with good lighting make this natural ventilated barn a healthy and peaceful environment for the cows. DeLaval panel fans provide air movement in the barn.

In the connecting link we installed the utility and vet room, together with a storage area. The link is also used as a transfer alley between the two barns with a clean access walkway, and a cow transfer lane. Above the connecting link, you'll find a large cozy meeting room with an observation deck, looking out over the new barn. 

Through this project you can see how HFH works with the farmer to bring their business up to date, while still using the original barn to its fullest potential.
